The worm was tough to top, but Heidi Klum’s annual Halloween metamorphosis didn’t miss a beat this year.
The supermodel enlisted the help of ten Cirque du Soleil performers to perform a hypnotic and moving peacock ensemble for her famous Halloween party in New York City on Tuesday night.
Klum was the centerpiece in a bright blue jumpsuit topped with a bird’s head, complete with a prosthetic beak. Circus performers, in shades of blue and green, served as the exotic bird’s eye-popping tail feathers.
Upon arrival, the circus performers twisted, flipped and tossed each other, before gathering to form the peacock into a human pyramid, lifting Klum to stand on a performer’s lap.
Klum’s husband, German musician Tom Kaulitz, appeared as a giant egg.
«I wanted to do something very elaborate,» Klum told Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet. «And I wanted to make a costume with several people… I wanted to make a performance art with it.»
He said it took him about six hours to put it all together.
