Jost, on Saturday, let Ramaswamy’s words do the talking after the billionaire businessman dragged the party down after last week’s tough election defeats.
“Vivek Ramaswamy began by saying that the Republican Party had become a ‘party of losers.’ Interestingly, News21USA also billed the debate as a ‘losers’ match,’” Jost joked.
Jost later mocked the tense debate exchange between Ramaswamy and fellow Republican candidate Nikki Haley.
Ramaswamy, during a debate over whether to ban TikTok amid data security concerns, asked why Haley’s daughter was using the social media platform despite the former UN ambassador’s stance on the app.
“She also emphasized that it doesn’t matter how she knows her daughter has a TikTok account,” Jost added.
The co-host continued, noting that Haley quickly responded to Ramaswamy and told him to “leave my daughter out of your voice.”
