Aaron Rodgers hints he will return in ‘a few weeks’ – News21USA

The four-time MVP quarterback was heard on video telling an LA Chargers player that he could return in “a few weeks” after the Jets lost 27-6 on Monday Night Football.

Rodgers, who tore his Achilles tendon just four plays into the season, was seen throw the ball 50 yards or so before the game at MetLife Stadium. But what really got fans on social media buzzing was this postgame conversation with Chargers safety Derwin James:

“When you come back?” James asked.

“Give me a few weeks,” Rodgers said.

A promise? Delusions? Self promotion? A simplistic red herring?

Of course, Rodgers, 39, appears to be well along in his recovery, but the average time for an NFL player to return to full activity after an Achilles tear is 9 to 12 months.

The Jets faithful and others can only hope it happens as soon as possible. And they did it.
