Anyone who purchased a Palmetto Cash 5 lottery game before last Friday’s drawing should check their tickets. That’s because a ticket purchased in Columbia won a six-figure grand prize, South Carolina Education Lottery officials said in a Monday news release.

The $100,000 winning Palmetto Cash 5 ticket was sold at Harry’s gas station/convenience store at 9900 Two Notch Road, according to the release.

The winning numbers (1, 13, 14, 23, 33 and Power-Up: 2) were drawn on September 29.

The Palmetto Cash 5 ticket matched all five numbers drawn to win the game’s top prize, according to the release.

The winner has 180 days to claim the prize, according to lottery officials.

The winner will be allowed to retain some privacy, as South Carolina is one of 11 states (along with Arizona, Delaware, Georgia, Kansas, Maryland, New Jersey, North Dakota, Ohio, Texas and Virginia) that allow lottery winners remain anonymous.

The odds of winning $100,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5 are 501,942 to 1, according to the release.

The convenience store will receive a $1,000 commission for selling the winning ticket when it is delivered to lottery officials.

In addition to the $100,000 winning game, more than 5,300 other players in South Carolina won prizes in Friday’s drawing, according to the release.
